Roomali Roti is a thin, soft, and stretchy Indian flatbread known for its large size and delicate texture.
The dough is made from a mixture of all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour, kneaded with water, and sometimes a bit of milk or yogurt. It is rolled out very thin and cooked quickly on an inverted hot griddle or tawa, creating a bread that's almost like a handkerchief, hence the name "roomali" which means "handkerchief." Roomali Roti is often served with kebabs, tandoori dishes, and various Indian curries.
